Directed by Nathalie Cuenet and written by Valérie Poirier, Dire adieu is performed by Compagnie Volodia. When Michel finds a rare record he has long sought, he prepares a perfect hour to listen — but family, neighbours and a drip that will wreck the disc steadily intrude. The piece skewers selfishness with sharp humour and precise staging, combining intimate realism and heightened farce to probe human smallness and the desperate desire for solitude.

Opening the season, the Peace Philharmonic joins pianist and conductor Nikolay Khozyainov for an evening devoted to Mozart. Khozyainov’s virtuosic touch illuminates the drama and lyricism of the Piano Concerto No. 20 in D minor, while the orchestra delivers the grandeur and contrapuntal brilliance of the Symphony No. 41, ‘Jupiter’. The programme balances intimacy and orchestral power, offering refined phrasing, transparent textures and radiant elegance that bring Mozart’s expressive contrasts to life.
Noir & Gerber blend warm, intimate soul and blues with original songs in French and English. Vocalists Sophie Noir (voice, bass, piano) and Simon Gerber (voice, guitar, bass) trade melodies and harmonies over driving grooves from drummer Claude Kamber (or Alberto Malo), creating close interplay between voice and instrument. Their repertoire moves from smoky soul to rhythm’n’blues, combining delicate arrangements, raw emotion and playful improvisation that highlight songwriting and spirited live dynamics.
