The concert features Bach’s BWV 66, BWV 154 and BWV 168 alongside Hammerschmidt motets, delivered by choir and soloists with period-informed interpretation and transparent instrumental support. The evening explores spiritual contrasts—intense emotion, luminous choruses and expressive arias—presented with refined phrasing and historical sensitivity.
Festival du Soir marks a ten-year anniversary with a sprawling program across multiple themed nights, from electronic showcases to Latin‑infused celebrations and disco revival spectacles. Curated lineups bring artists such as Paul Kalkbrenner, GIMS, Gala, Boney M., O‑Zone, Mind Against and others into conversation, folding live concerts, club sets, fairground theatrics and immersive installations into one nocturnal tapestry. Stripping movement of its props — even appearing naked as a deliberate “costume” — Jeong reconfigures gestures to blur animate and inanimate, creating an intimate, uncanny ritual.
Conducted by Ton Koopman, this performance reunites the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande with soloists and students from the Haute École de Musique to bring Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony to life. Soprano Talia Or, mezzo Susanne Schimmack, tenor Anicio Zorzi Giustiniani and baritone Ivan Thirion join the vocal department in a rendition that foregrounds the Ode to Joy as an emblem of fraternity and hope. The interpretation balances monumental orchestral climaxes and intimate choral passages, offering a communal, cathartic listening experience.
Directed by Rebecca Stella and adapted with Danielle Barthélemy, Cendrillon blends classic fairy-tale drama with manga-inspired staging. Pili Loop’s original score, Mathieu Courtaillier’s lighting and the set by Camille Ansquer shape a vivid, contemporary universe. Costumes by Alice Toutev and Sonia Bosc and choreography by Léon add playful movement and character.
