Based on René Daumal and directed by Gabriel Alvarez, La Grande Beuverie is a merciless satire and mystical fable that probes intoxication, confusion and human folly. The six-person ensemble (Karim Abdelaziz, Clara Brancorsini, Soufiane Guerraoui, Margot Le Coultre, Madeleine Piguet Raykov and Justine Ruchat) performs a jubilant, poetic language framed by Sylvain Fournier’s music and songs. The staging combines dark humour and ritual intensity to offer a sharp reflection on contemporary society and collective delusion.
