Xavier Machault leads Pelouse, the rock side of his work, alongside Quentin Biardeau and Martin Debisschop. Their music wraps feverish saxophones, dense synths and thick basses around sensitive texts that shift between intimate, political, surreal and poetic. With mordant, offbeat humour, Pelouse strips rock and chanson to their raw core. For the group’s tenth anniversary the repertoire is enlarged: an eight-piece ensemble revisits the trio’s songs, blending contemporary music and jazz while retaining a raw, rock composition and lyrical intensity.

A former journalist turned comedian, she was selected by Le Point-Virgule and featured at Montreux Comedy Pop Up; she has opened for Thomas Wiesel and Marina Rollman.

Ce qui nous traverse, choreographed by Nawal Aït Benalla and co-directed with Abou Lagraa, is a visceral dance piece by Compagnie La Baraka that probes the body in an age of technology. Dancers Elie Fico, Alba Fracchia, Marion Frappat, Alfredo Gottardi and Rachele Pinzan navigate rhythmic patterns, tensions between constraint and freedom, isolation and encounter, and the shifting boundaries of embodiment. Olivier Innocenti’s compositions and Laïs Foulc’s lighting frame a powerful, poetic investigation of collective and intimate corporeality.

JazzContreBand celebrates its 30th anniversary with a new creation led by trumpeter Erik Truffaz. Franco‑Swiss musicians join forces with the Orchestre des Alpes et du Léman in Side by Side, a programme that blends classical writing, jazz phrasing and open-ended improvisation. The project explores textural contrasts, orchestral colours and solo interplay, shifting from intimate chamber passages to wide, cinematic swells. Prima Facie, by Suzie Miller, stages a tense courtroom drama centred on Tessa, a brilliant defence lawyer whose life is upended after she becomes the victim of an assault. Directed by Elidan Arzoni and performed by Anna Budde, the production weaves urgent questions about justice, credibility and power. Danielle Milovic’s lighting and the French translation by Dominique Hollier and Séverine Magois shape a stark, intimate staging. Produced by Les Amis – Le Chariot for Scène Vagabonde Festival.
