Now in its fifth edition, the Estival de la Cour des Hutins brings together emerging and established local bands for two days of summer concerts. Vocalyse brings together ninety choristers and four professional musicians in a celebration of the Beatles’ songbook. The pop choir reimagines familiar hits through vibrant arrangements, rich vocal harmonies and dynamic staging that blend choral discipline with pop energy. Supporting performances by Zeband and Les Hotpot (advanced classes of Catalyse) open the evening, offering a contrast of trained ensembles and student-driven projects. The programme focuses on collective voice and theatrical delivery.

Comedian Tania Dutel premieres a brand-new stand-up show that unveils fresh material and sharp observational humour. Her delivery blends caustic wit and warmth, moving from punchy one-liners to longer, confessional stories. The performance crafts an intimate, high-energy atmosphere where spontaneity and audience interplay shape the rhythm. Expect a concise, finely tuned set that highlights her voice as a storyteller and satirist.

Presented as a season manifesto, Les Racines du Ciel is a reflective text by Eric Devanthéry that probes the weight of words and collective imaginaries in an accelerated history. It frames the stage as both bulwark and site of shared, engaged human experience, calling to preserve margins against logics of productivity and control. The essay evokes the season’s diverse pieces — from À l’aune to Orlando — and insists on culture as necessity. A transcription and a SoundCloud excerpt accompany the text.

Created and performed by Leila Moon, this audiovisual piece investigates the nearly forgotten meddahates, a women-led musical and narrative practice from Algeria. Drawing on Moon’s Deep Dive into Meddahates research — field interviews and archival recordings — the performance interweaves sung material and oral narration with electronic textures.

The work foregrounds memory, communal storytelling and acts of resistance, offering an intimate, archival atmosphere that bridges past and present while highlighting female voices and cultural transmission.
