Curated by cellist François Kieffer, this concert offers a focused journey through Beethoven’s string quartets, juxtaposing early and middle-period masterpieces. The programme brings together Quatuor Modigliani and Quatuor Arete, with repertoire spanning Op. 18 No. 1 and the stormy Op. 59 No. 2 to the luminous Op. 74 “Harp” and the profound late Op. 127. Performances emphasise transparency of texture, intense chamber dialogue and an expansive emotional arc.
La P’tite Fumée returns with an explosive live set that fuses psytrance energy and cyberpunk atmospheres. Their electro-acoustic palette blends didgeridoo with hypnotic guitar and flute lines over driving rhythms. New vocal elements join the band’s signature instrumental textures, adding sharp flows and communal hooks. The reworked live show emphasizes visceral dynamics, dense sound layers and raw intensity, offering a powerful, immersive concert experience that bridges tradition and modern electronic experimentation.
The evening opens with the BAG Committee, setting the tone before the traditional jam session takes over. Rooted in live improvisation and shared musical energy, the format invites a fluid progression from an initial performance into an open, spontaneous exchange. The result is relaxed yet charged, shaped by the interplay of musicians, the shifting mood of the room, and the pleasure of listening as the music unfolds in real time.
A theatrical, musical and visual voyage into the heart of the Mediterranean, Poésidonia brings together forty actors, singers and musicians in a vibrant chorus. Their stories speak of solidarity, exile, hope and resistance, carried by poetry, music and voices from across the world. Drawing on the poetry of Alda Merini, this new creation by Cie Linga brings seven performers and dedicated collaborators together in a politically charged, poetic ensemble. The piece explores collective choreography as a living, shifting organism: bodies merge, diverge and form ever-changing configurations that reveal individual singularities within a shared consciousness. Through intimate physical connections and circulating emotions, the company imagines diversity as a source of collective richness and a hopeful vision of communal joy.
Emergentia 2027 brings together the next generation of choreographers from Geneva and beyond in a two‑week festival of new performance and research. Conceived and produced by three Geneva organizations, the program juxtaposes site-specific creations, international residencies, open studios revealing works-in-progress, and embodied workshops and conversations. Performances feature artists such as Isam Abad Montalvo, Sami Lea Samira Bernath, Oscar M. Damianaki, Efthimios Moschopoulos and Soraya Leila Emery, alongside collaborative projects and emerging voices.
