Part of a two-day cycle marking the 200th anniversary of Beethoven’s death, this programme presents a concentrated portrait of his string quartet legacy. Quatuors Novo and Elmire perform early and late works, juxtaposing op.18’s clarity with the intensity of op.95 and the reflective finale of op.135. Each concert opens with a short literary introduction, framing the music’s conversation-like textures and the quartet’s intimate expressive range.
Directed by Jean Bellorini in collaboration with Yang Hua Theatre, this staging reimagines Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s Le Petit Prince with the title character portrayed by a Chinese actor. The production blends French and Mandarin dialogue with live music by singers from China’s independent scene. Two table puppeteers and two musicians bring to life quirky creatures through live music and songs, blending humour and poetry. The show is performed in French and mixes witty storytelling with musicality and inventive puppetry.

The program explores emergent writing and stage practices— from plateau-based text to pieces rooted in the real—offering layered, often indisciplinary approaches that question formats and invent languages for a transforming world. Accompanying meetings and discussions extend the works and open insight into creative processes.
BBBBBBB, the Japanese duo of Saionji (voice and sound production) and Sawa (voice), unleashes a sonic upheaval where digital hardcore collides with noise, industrial textures, trap and other unruly sounds. US guitarist Erica Dawn Lyle brings an intense, abrasive electric-guitar solo, carving a raw and uncompromising path through distortion and physical energy. Bamba Triste and Fuxy Lady round out the evening with a record-spinning set specially conceived for this occasion, extending the night’s adventurous, unruly soundscape.
Blandine Lehout brings a frank, funny stand-up evening that mines motherhood, couple life and the strains of new parenthood with biting wit and self-mockery. Between sharp one-liners and candid storytelling she confronts loss of a past life, appetite and body-image jokes, and rebellious impulses toward moralizers and partners. The show blends autobiographical detail with cynical humor and warm audience rapport to create an unfiltered, liberating comic experience.

Two short plays by Anton Chekhov staged by Tibor Ockenfels and Flavie Tapparel, presented as compact dramatic machines where romantic comedy masks escalating confrontations between desire, affection and material interest. Performances rely on precise physical timing, terse exchanges and a lean, playful design to reveal the simmering violence behind courtship rituals. The three actors — Estelle Bridet, Matteo Prandi and Raphaël Vachoux — inhabit heightened character types that shift between farce and darker comic truth, creating a sharply observed, kinetic evening.
