La Cave 12 is an underground concert venue in Geneva dedicated to experimental and improvised music. The association programs live concerts, collaborations, and special projects across electronic, acoustic and noise genres, hosting international and local artists. Its intimate, exploratory atmosphere supports artistic risk-taking and continuous experimentation within Geneva’s cultural scene.
The Handover is a trio led by Ali Eissa (oud), Ayman Asfour (violin) and Jonas Cambien (vintage synth and organ). Their music blends hypnotic, improvised journeys rooted in the Nile delta with krautrock, psychedelic textures and avant‑garde jazz exploration. The result is an expansive, trance‑like soundscape that moves between delicate oud lines, bowed violin atmospheres and analog synth drones. An extended record set by Alan Bolumar follows, exploring complementary sonic territories.
Electric Rastrello deliver a frenzied, abrasive tronic-rock punk surge as a compact duo, contrasted by France’s power trio that unfolds monolithic riffs propelled by an amplified hurdy-gurdy, bass and drums. The programme fuses live combustion and raw dynamics into dense, immersive soundscapes, shifting between frantic attacks and submerged, textured passages. Between sets, Carl and Fuxy Lady craft a tailored record set that frames and links the two performances.
Footnotes is a Geneva-based journal devoted to typography and type design, published in English by La Police and printed in Geneva. This launch celebrates its new issue, Footnotes F, with a visual and sonic lecture by Francis Baudevin. He examines the typography of selected albums, exploring how letterforms contribute to the visual identity of music. The programme continues with a record set by Maud Pollien, bringing together sound and graphic culture.
Brazilian duo DEAFKIDS unleash a turbulent live collision of electronic fury, feverish organic percussion and raw punk energy, drawing on Afro-Latin rhythms, rapid-fire drums, 808 bass-drum pulses and walls of fuzz. Their set centres on *Cicatrizes do Futuro*, released on Neurot, and moves through Guaguancó, acid house and ritualistic noise. KOMBI, the project of João Kombi (TEST), opens with an immersive exploration of drones and noise, using electric guitar, voice and effects. Alan Bolumar and Carl shape the night with two specially curated record sets.
BBBBBBB, the Japanese duo of Saionji (voice and sound production) and Sawa (voice), unleashes a sonic upheaval where digital hardcore collides with noise, industrial textures, trap and other unruly sounds. US guitarist Erica Dawn Lyle brings an intense, abrasive electric-guitar solo, carving a raw and uncompromising path through distortion and physical energy. Bamba Triste and Fuxy Lady round out the evening with a record-spinning set specially conceived for this occasion, extending the night’s adventurous, unruly soundscape.
This concert brings together two experimental, noise-driven projects. Kutin & Nerve, a collaboration spanning Austria and Hong Kong, shape corrosive DIY electronics through light, feedback, infrasonic bass, fractured beats and radical live manipulation. Their sound moves between physical rumble and unstable, finely cut rhythms. Swiss artist Strotter Inst. works with turntables and manipulated electronics, building dense sonic structures. His new album, “WEHRBAUER,” draws inspiration from open spaces and no-man’s lands, extending the evening’s exploration of sound as material and environment.
