1+1 = 2

An improvisational duet by Carlos Henriquez and Fausto Borghini, this show turns audience suggestions (time periods, words, places and emotions) into instant scenes. With the single rule of never saying no, the duo launches into a sequence of short, varied, fast-paced vignettes that blend comedy, surprise and emotional truth. The performance relies on the performers’ keen listening, rapid chemistry and playful risk-taking, creating an electric, intimate atmosphere where unpredictability becomes the engine of storytelling.

With Choreia, a polyballet whose title refers to the harmonious union of song, speech, and dance within a chorus, the CocoonDance Company presents a performance featuring eight dancers who dissolve the conventional boundaries between stage and audience, dance and voice, choral singing and theatrical action.

In doing so, they reconnect with the roots of theatre, reviving the very essence of the chorus in Greek comedy—a blend of dance, song, and action. Choreia is a show that pushes the traditional limits of dance by exploring the concept of the chorus and redefining the interaction between performers and spectators.

Directed by Françoise Courvoisier, this theatrical adaptation stages two periods of Grisélidis Réal’s life simultaneously, split between a dignified elder confronting illness and a vibrant earlier self. Martine Schambacher and Françoise Courvoisier embody these contrapuntal figures; assistant director Léa Déchamboux supports the staging. Natacha Jaquerod’s set, Rinaldo Del Boca’s lighting and Nicolas Le Roy’s sound design sculpt intimate, lyrical atmospheres. Drawing on Grisélidis’s letters, the piece blends lyricism and fury into a raw, elegiac portrait of life and writing.
