Don Quixote de Saint Petersburg

Presented by the Association Classique Partage, this concert commemorates the 120th anniversary of Dmitry Shostakovich with a programme mixing chamber and concerto repertoire. Sergey Ostrovsky conducts a string orchestra with soloists Sergei Nakariakov (trumpet) and Evgeny Brakhman (piano). The programme includes a Prelude and Scherzo op.11, a violin sonata arranged by Michail Zinman and a concerto for piano, trumpet and orchestra, offering a refined balance between virtuosity and lyrical depth.

Violinist and singer Jeanne Pâris (jano) unfolds a personal ritual that examines heritage through a family tree and its soundscape. Intimate and warm, the piece stitches love songs, Polish nursery rhymes, opera and techno into a roaming playlist that becomes collective memory—imaginings, traces, struggles, dysphoria and moments of euphoria. The performance privileges voice and violin as threads between ancestors of blood and heart, inviting communal listening and quiet reverie.

Performed by Simon Romang and directed by Georges Guerreiro, Planchette is a comic celebration of appetite and conviviality. Written by Simon Romang and Blaise Bersinger, the show savours the pleasures of shared food, local wine and the easy humour of friends around the table. Philippe Schnider’s lighting shapes warm, convivial moments while artistic collaborators Florence Annoni and Sébastien Corthésy contribute subtle stage textures. Produced by Théâtre Montreux Riviera and Jokers Comedy, the piece balances appetite-driven comedy with affectionate social observation, leaving audiences smiling.
