Max, known as Smoky, channels a lifetime rooted in rhythm into a compact, dynamic rap performance. A drummer since age six and a sound engineering student, he blends percussive precision with varied flows, sensitive yet incisive lyrics and haunting melodies. His hybrid rap and hip-hop approach favors intimate vocal moments and propulsive beats, shaped in collaboration with the On Stage program of the EJMA Live Foundation. The result is a charged, tactile set that balances raw energy and nuanced storytelling.

With Choreia, a polyballet whose title refers to the harmonious union of song, speech, and dance within a chorus, the CocoonDance Company presents a performance featuring eight dancers who dissolve the conventional boundaries between stage and audience, dance and voice, choral singing and theatrical action.

In doing so, they reconnect with the roots of theatre, reviving the very essence of the chorus in Greek comedy—a blend of dance, song, and action. Choreia is a show that pushes the traditional limits of dance by exploring the concept of the chorus and redefining the interaction between performers and spectators.

Irikanto is a Geneva-based singer-songwriter whose intimate voice blends indie pop, folk, soul and groove. Trained in classical guitar before moving into contemporary music, she emerged on the local scene in 2023 and later pursued studies at Gustav and the HEM in Lausanne. Her songs balance tenderness and rhythmic pulse, with the single “Would It Be Different?” unpacking the fragile emotions of a friendship breakup through warm melodies and subtle grooves, creating an intimate, soulful atmosphere.

Directed by Nicolas Chapoulier, Passages secrets stages an in-situ, hybrid performance where adolescents rework the voices of older generations through movement, video and live sound. Scenography by Johanna Rocard frames metamorphoses and fragile carnivalesque scenes, while composer Franck Serpinet and Chapoulier’s sound writing sculpt the aural landscape. An external sociology collaborator, Jocelyn Lachance, informs the piece’s social layering. The atmosphere oscillates between ritual, humour and unsettling intimacy, letting adolescence unfold as a luminous, unruly passage.

Violinist and singer Jeanne Pâris (jano) unfolds a personal ritual that examines heritage through a family tree and its soundscape. Intimate and warm, the piece stitches love songs, Polish nursery rhymes, opera and techno into a roaming playlist that becomes collective memory—imaginings, traces, struggles, dysphoria and moments of euphoria. The performance privileges voice and violin as threads between ancestors of blood and heart, inviting communal listening and quiet reverie.
