Directed by Salma Lagrouni, Barîn, au-delà des frontières is a staged reading inspired by the true story of Shahla, a Kurdish woman from Iran. Shahla performs her own testimony alongside four artists — actresses and musicians — transforming lived experience into raw, poetic drama. The creative team includes composer Berrin Ünsal, set and costume designer Ouidad Lagrouni, builder Gregory Berton and video artist Younes Lagrouni. The piece crafts a cathartic, intimate atmosphere of resilience, memory and female solidarity.

This existential thriller delves into the fragmented nature of reality and memory.
