With Océan, the French company Succursale 101 invites young children on a gentle, dreamlike dive into the deep sea. Mixing colorful shadow theatre, puppetry, and video, the 30-minute show follows a child chasing a beloved seashell into a magical underwater world, where corals, fish, and mysterious abysses come alive in a floating, poetic ballet of light and sound.

Saturday 25 October, 19:30

The Festival Les Inoubliables, in collaboration with the Orchestre de Chambre de Genève (OCG), celebrates distinguished female composers with a closing gala concert. Under the baton of Nikita Sorokine, and featuring the vocal talents of Amadi Lagha, Amelia Feuer, along with violinist Esther Abrami, the event highlights the works of Ethel Smyth, Augusta Holmès, and Ina Boyle. Julie Conti will add a touch of humor to this evening dedicated to the power of female orchestral and vocal music. The concert concludes with the jazzy melodies of Blossom Dearie, emphasizing the historical significance of women composers in the realm of symphonic repertoire.

23 – 26 October

The captivating story of Élise Müller, better known as Hélène Smith, a renowned Geneva medium, and her relationship with psychology professor Théodore Flournoy unfolds in a compelling play. Celebrated for her spiritual journeys and gift of glossolalia, Élise navigates parallel worlds and alien languages. Fascinated by her talents, Flournoy attends her sessions and publishes an essay on her experiences, unaware of his crucial role in her visions. The play delves into their complex platonic relationship, defying the constraints of a rigid society, highlighting Élise’s quest for freedom and recognition through her mediumship.

1 May – 1 November

Evaux en Fêtes offers a cultural, ecological, and sporting program for all ages in Geneva’s largest urban park. From May to October, over thirty events blend nature, culture, and sports at Parc des Evaux. Attendees can enjoy educational workshops, open-air performances, candlelit concerts, sports challenges, and activities designed for the entire family.

24 October – 1 November

“Cornebidouille” is a puppet show for children, inspired by Pierre Bertrand’s books. The story follows Pierre, a little boy who refuses to eat his soup, until the witch Cornebidouille pays him a visit. Created by Nathalie Wiget and Erika von Rosen, with input from the author, the performance blends puppetry with songs. Supported by a variety of institutions and sponsors, this is the company’s first production for young audiences, and it has been touring since 2017.

22 – 26 October

The Urban Farm pops up at François-Auguste Châtrier Park in Thônex during the autumn holidays, bringing a slice of rural life to the city for five days. Experience a real farm environment featuring chickens, pigs, pigeons, and more. Enjoy engaging and educational workshops for all ages, including games, storytelling, creative crafts, and local product tasting. This event is an ideal opportunity to introduce children to environmental awareness, agriculture, and biodiversity in a friendly and welcoming setting.
