“Master Class” takes us back to 1971, where Maria Callas shares her vocal insights and artistic ideals at the Juilliard School. Adapted by Pierre Laville and directed by Michel Favre, the play highlights the unwavering dedication and passion required to master the art of singing. Maria Mettral brings the legendary diva to life with remarkable depth and intensity, supported by Lorianne Cherpillod, Sarah Pagin, Erwan Fosset, and Nicolas Le Roy on piano.

Les Gros patinet bien is a wildly inventive comedy featuring just two performers and 150 cardboard boxes. The show follows a plump, Shakespearean-style storyteller who narrates a chaotic European escape tale while remaining seated, and his hyperactive, silent sidekick who acts out the entire journey around him. With roller skates, scooters, planes, and even a mule, the duo creates a hilarious, high-energy performance full of physical comedy, absurdity, and imagination. This clever mix of stillness and motion earned the show the 2022 Molière Prize for Best Public Theatre.

The Ensemble Les Illuminations continues its commitment to contemporary women composers with their concert Vera Vita Viva. Featuring a new work by Claire-Mélanie Sinnhuber for five instruments, the piece weaves together baroque timbres and contemporary colors, sacred and profane, tracing a musical thread from Élisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre to Kaija Saariaho, Ethel Smyth, and Sofia Goubaïdoulina, where memory and invention engage in a continuous dialogue.

Théâtre Spirale presents “Memory of Fire” by Eduardo Galeano at La Parfumerie, a poetic and thought-provoking performance inspired by Latin American history. This show amplifies the voices of the voiceless through myths, legends, historical events, and stories. Directed by Patrick Mohr, the production weaves together text, music, and visuals, featuring a collaboration with versatile artists. On Fridays, the program is enhanced with Cuban music concerts.

Illusions by Ivan Viripaev is a witty and heartfelt comedy exploring the secret lives of two long-married couples. As they reveal past indiscretions, hidden desires, and untold stories, laughter and emotion intertwine, prompting reflections on love, trust, and the delicate balance of long-term relationships. Enhanced by live cello and viola, this playful yet profound piece holds up a mirror to the joys and complexities of intimate life.
