Her breakthrough album Vulture Prince earned a Grammy and drew international recognition, leading to collaborations with renowned ensembles and performances on major stages. Her music unfolds through sparse, luminous arrangements that emphasize voice, silence and emotional nuance.
Village des Cultures offers a cycle of adult workshops organized by ADEM and eMa, focusing on world music, voice and dance practices. Participants explore circle songs, cantos de trabajo, body percussion and diverse dance forms—sabar and flamenco—through practical sessions led by artists and pedagogues including Marine Pelletrau-Duris, Rebecca Roger Cruz, Roberto Castillo, Khady Sarr, Mbar Ndiaye and Felipe Clivio. The programme emphasizes technique, cultural context and collective improvisation to develop expressive and rhythmic skills.
Young artists from the Geneva International String Academy present an evening of chamber music showcasing works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Heinrich Wilhelm Ernst, György Kurtág, Gaspar Cassadó, Paul Hindemith, Bohuslav Martinů and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy. The program blends Baroque clarity, Romantic virtuosity and modern string colour, offering intimate textures and fiery solos. Expect refined ensemble playing, expressive phrasing and moments of daring technique as emerging musicians explore contrasting eras and emotional landscapes.
Violencia Rivas is a brazen stage persona created by Léa Pohlhammer that channels a fictional Argentine yéyé singer claiming to have invented punk in the late sixties. On stage Pohlhammer and Adrien Barazzone form a combustible duo: she as the diva, he as her devoted companion. Julien Jaillot directs the actor work; Florence Minder collaborated on dramaturgy; Fernando de Miguel supplies music and sound while Pedro Saborido and Fernando de Miguel provide song texts.
