After storming stages with Bitume Caviar, ISHA and Limsa d’Aulnay return stronger with Bitume Caviar Vol. 2. The duo blends intimate confidences, sharp punchlines and disarming humour into stripped-back rap driven by finely crafted lyrics and precise flows. Through candid storytelling and striking contrasts of warmth and edge, the performance foregrounds lyrical mastery, chemistry and raw sincerity, creating an intense, close theatrical experience.

10 – 11 October

Leonardo García-Alarcón leads Cappella Mediterranea in a visionary reimagining of Jean-Philippe Rameau’s Les Indes galantes, while choreographer Bintou Dembélé stages a virtuosic, urban-inflected choreography that dialogues with baroque heritage. The production juxtaposes sumptuous orchestral writing and a contemporary scenic universe to explore identity, representation and cultural legacy. Vocal and choral forces, including the Chœur de Chambre de Namur, animate a rich dramaturgy that balances historical splendour and probing modern perspectives.

16 – 17 October

Performed by Adrien Barazzone, this one-man show assembles a whole municipal council on stage and turns the performance into a delightful carnival of egos. At the heart of the piece, a heated question about toppling a Woodrow Wilson statue for a conceptual work titled ‘Boule de papier’ unleashes a cascade of interventions, shifting certainties and contagious comic energy. Part satire, part human comedy, the piece mixes biting, absurd and whimsical humour to probe institutions, contradictions and ourselves.

Tuesday 27 October, 19:30

Choreographed and performed by Germaine Acogny and Gregory Maqoma, this evening pairs a powerful solo invocation of Joséphine Baker with Bantu, a response piece created with artists from Vuyani Dance Theatre and the École des Sables. The program interrogates memory, exile and inherited identity through raw physicality, layered gestures and stark theatrical lighting. Intimate and wide-ranging, the two works converse on reappropriation and resilience, shifting between solo intensity and communal choreography.

Pillowgraphies answers a yearning for lightness. It attempts to escape gravity and unfold a dance in which the body dissolves into a soft, buoyant figure — a ghost. The performance plunges into a nocturnal, joyful world where floating replaces walking, sliding becomes movement and walking turns absurd. The company invites playful participation after the show, opening the stage for collective dancing and shared, exuberant moments.

Sunday 8 November

Semi-final of the Concours de Genève for orchestral conducting. Six candidates will lead Ensemble Contrechamps in a demanding programme: György Ligeti’s Kammerkonzert (the required work) and one chosen piece — Unsuk Chin’s Gougalon or Rebecca Saunders’ Scar. Each 45-minute performance highlights interpretative range, timbral precision and the conductor’s dialogue with the ensemble. Presented in coproduction with the Concours de Genève and supported by Ville de Genève, République et Canton de Genève and Loterie Romande.
