A struggling troupe scrambles to save its season when a wealthy patron arrives, triggering lies, flattery, extravagant demands and comic negotiations. The staging and colourful characters deliver sharp, vivacious comedy that, beneath the laughter, exposes artists’ fear, stage fright, precarity and resilient hope.

Performers Eléonore Bonah and Maria Clara Castioni inhabit hypersensitive, marginal characters whose everyday gestures oscillate between absurdity and tenderness. Sparse staging and a careful interplay of voice and silence highlight Duvanel’s Kafkaesque intimacy, while language shifts (French, German, Italian) create a fragile, dreamlike atmosphere that balances humour and quiet despair, celebrating stubborn acts of resistance.

Traktor presents an intimate evening with a lean trio: Brooks Giger (double bass), Anthony Dietrich Buclin (trombone) and Dominic Egli (drums).
