Scène Active

Scène Active is a collective theatre creation led by a cohort of young participants who build a performance from the ground up. The ensemble conceives characters, writes the text, and shapes scenography, music, songs, visuals and choreography to express their visions, dreams and rebellions. Rooted in social participation and artistic mentorship, the project supports personal and professional development while privileging collaborative practice, risk-taking and honest, urgent storytelling.

Une Simple Histoire is a tender musical tribute to the late Michel Bühler, celebrating his songs, poetry and humanism. Directed by Roland Vouilloz, the staging brings together Sylvie Bourban (voice) and Jean-Philippe Zwahlen (guitar) in an intimate duet that traces Bühler’s storytelling and travels. With the charismatic show host Macha and the scheming production director Florence, the ensemble embarks on escapades that leap from Arthurian chivalry to the surface of the moon. A troupe of spirited performers animates comic tableaux, while playful staging, brisk choreography and bursts of onstage magic create an exuberant, nostalgic atmosphere that celebrates imagination and folly.

Jeremy Ratib performs material from his album Backlot Country, a hazy window onto an adolescence in Los Angeles where Halloween spectres, bushfires that redden Pacific sunsets and empty pools echo post‑Y2K nostalgia amid kickflip cadences. Rooted in folk songwriting, the music unfolds as homemade psychedelic country‑rock emo, intimate and evocative. Ratib is joined by Valentin Liechti (drums, vocals), Robin Girod (bass, guitar, vocals), Flavie Ndam (saxophone, vocals), Lorraine Dinkel (guitar, vocals) and Lucas Churet (sound).

23 – 28 June

Spirale Workshops 1 and 2 showcase a thirty-year practice of transmission, research and intergenerational exchange. Under the direction of Michele Millner (Atelier 1) and Cathy Sarr with Patrick Mohr (Atelier 2), the project blends devised creation and collective laboratories. Atelier 1 develops a decolonial, antipatriarchal and radical laboratory that dialogues with figures such as Lady Macbeth and Nina. Participants include Marie Bondolfi, Yves Cerf, Mael Godinat and Jeanne Pasquier.

This performance investigates vocal plasticity, improvisation, and emotional communication, frequently in collaboration with museums and contemporary art spaces. Combining musical and choreographic improvisation, it questions the dominant frameworks and hierarchies embedded in language.

Trained as an actress and inherently intense, Judith*G is a DIY pop star who transforms sleepless nights into joyously cathartic songs. Her witty, heart‑piercing lyrics sit atop catchy melodies, nostalgic synth‑pop and 90s electro‑rock guitars. Humour, self‑deprecation, handmade merch and playful movement complete a raw, energetic stage persona that invites both laughter and close‑up emotional moments.
