Use sight, touch and smell to compare sizes, textures and colors. Follow simple investigations, listen to rustling leaves, and sketch or collect observations. Hands-on activities and short experiments encourage curiosity about how plants grow and survive. This discovery session invites questions, close looking and playful learning.

The Biopark is temporarily hosting Janus, a unique two-headed Greek tortoise, during the renovation of the Museum. Each head of this male tortoise has its own independent brain, which sometimes makes its movements challenging. In captivity, Janus receives attentive care, resulting in an impressive lifespan of 26 years.

Discussion is encouraged in an open, friendly atmosphere: it’s more than swapping favourites — it’s a first step into debating ideas. Sessions are led by editor, bookseller and cultural animator Bertille de Crevoisier.

Creative workshops for children where they learn to make natural cosmetics—like fruity soaps and lip balms—using healthy, eco-friendly ingredients. These fun, hands-on sessions raise kids’ awareness of nature and ecology while letting them proudly take home their handmade creations.

Create and decorate your own book bag in a lively family workshop. Paint bright shapes, glue felt patches and add buttons to make a bag that carries your favorite stories. Work side by side with a grown-up, mix colors, feel different textures and hear soft music as you craft. This hands-on session sparks imagination and care for books while children practice fine motor skills and creative choices.

These tours, designed for young children, provide a chance to dream, listen to stories, and experience the enchantment of the setting with every step.

Step into Hinatea’s story and move with the rhythm of Tahiti. Explore a small exhibition and library corner as you observe the Hei Tiki and the objects that shaped the tale. Listen as Hinatea tells how her grandmother helps her calm down before ‘Ori Tahiti exams, with gentle drums and ocean-like sounds. Try simple dance steps, feel the rhythms, imagine colors and movements, and share questions about tradition and courage.
