Recluses Fest #8: Cockney Rejects + BRKOVI + Survey Skins

Recluses Fest #8 is making a return to Geneva’s Alhambra, bringing together six bands that are sure to electrify the stage. The lineup includes legendary Cockney Rejects, the explosive punk rock and folklore fusion of BRKOVI, and the French urban rock project Survet Skins. Part of the ticket sales will be donated to Hardcore Hits Cancer to help children battling cancer. This is an engaged and compassionate musical event not to be missed!

The company Ceux qui boivent du thé teams up with Ensemble Batida to present a unique circus performance at the base of the Cathédrale Saint-Pierre. The show “crAsh-test/crash-son #5.5” blends percussion with acrobatics, featuring acts like hair suspension and Cyr wheel routines. These multi-aesthetic evenings highlight exploration, experimentation, and improvisation, having welcomed over 80 artists since 2021.

2 – 5 July

Four captivating concerts await you at Stagni Park. On the first day, Ensemble Voyageur will enchant with a blend of European and Latin American melodies featuring a soprano and piano. The next day promises a deep dive into French music with performances by cellist Julia Sevilla Fraysse and pianist Anastasia Calmus. Following that, the United Strings of Europe will perform Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons paired with Piazzolla. The final day’s program by ClassiCosy includes works by Schubert and jazz pieces. Light refreshments will be available, and if it rains, the event moves indoors to the Jean-Jacques Gautier community hall.

Dive into Melina Vlachos’ mesmerizing world, blending Balkan, Oriental, and pop influences with oud, captivating vocals, and dance. Rooted in her Franco-Greek heritage yet boldly contemporary, she offers a raw, poetic fusion supported by oriental percussion, double bass, and a set from DJ Ramin.

25 June – 6 July

As part of the 2025 season at Théâtre de l’Orangerie, Adrien Barazzone presents “L’Homme de dos”. In this solo performance, he embodies a City Council embroiled in absurd debates and hilarious contradictions over a contemporary art piece. With biting energy, he crafts a political portrait both incisive and joyous. This play is the second installment in the “Trilogy of Systems,” following the highly acclaimed “Toute intention de nuire.”

The Montreux Jazz Festival takes place for two weeks every summer in Switzerland, on the shores of Lake Geneva. Created in 1967 by Claude Nobs and directed by Mathieu Jaton since 2013, the Montreux Jazz Festival has become over the years an essential event, generating fantastic stories and legendary performances.

In its 50 years history, Montreux has hosted iconic performances by artists including Nina Simone, Miles Davis, Aretha Franklin, Ella Fitzgerald, Marvin Gaye, Prince, Leonard Cohen, David Bowie, Elton John and Stevie Wonder. Deep Purple and Prince even helped to write the legend of the place in their songs, while David Bowie and Freddie Mercury came to live in the region and record albums.
