Enhanced by live cello and viola, this playful yet profound piece holds up a mirror to the joys and complexities of intimate life.

Trois mecs au bol is a surreal, offbeat creation by Lorin Kopp, Steven Matthews, and Mirko Verdesca, who also perform on stage. Blending absurd humour, music, and a touch of the grotesque, the show questions what it means to grow up in a world where absurdity has become the new normal. Written “à plat tôt” by three clowns unaware of their own kinship, it’s a three-voiced chant to tame their demons – and perhaps yours, the one that slowly creeps in and gnaws from the inside.

An evening centered on the theme of adulterous love awaits you at the Foyer of the Grand Théâtre de Genève. Experience selections from Debussy’s “Pelléas et Mélisande,” alongside more lighthearted pieces by Offenbach and Poulenc, performed by soprano Charlotte Bozzi, tenor Jean Miannay, bass Mark Kurmanbayev, and pianist Xavier Dami. This is a musical and poetic exploration of infidelity, rich with emotion and humor.

2 – 19 October

Eugène Ionesco’s “The Bald Soprano” is a quintessential work of absurdist theater, depicting the nonsensical and tedious interactions between two couples, the Smiths and the Martins. The arrival of the Fire Chief and the maid Marie sparks surreal situations and unexpected outbursts, before the Smiths dismiss the unlikely visitors and return to their original monotony. This production, directed by Cyril Kaiser, features puppets by Christophe Kiss alongside actors Vincent Babel, Nicole Bachmann, Blaise Granget, and Vanessa Battistini.

This performance is part of the Scène Vagabonde Festival.
