Circé Luginbühl, the workshop leader, guides community singers through ensemble practice, vocal technique and interpretation rooted in the musical traditions of Lake Geneva.

Sessions explore vocal warm-ups, movement-based vocalises, circle songs and harmony-building exercises. Participants learn songs linked to Lake Geneva by ear, progress from unison to additional voices, and address breathing, support, posture and interpretation to develop healthy, expressive ensemble singing and a shared repertoire.

François-Henri Désérable, novelist and former professional hockey player, is known for award-winning books including Évariste and Mon maître et mon vainqueur, which won the Grand Prix du roman de l’Académie française. In Le Palais he explores the world of wine, aroma and memory through Arun Kumar, an outlaw genius with an extraordinary palate. This lecture examines Désérable’s themes of sensory memory, narrative craft and the novel’s exploration of taste and identity.

Players match “before-and-after” images that illustrate individual and institutional actions, and each correct pair reveals concise information explaining the measure. The activity examines themes such as habitat restoration, species-friendly practices, urban greening and policy responses, helping participants understand the impact and rationale behind everyday and organisational conservation choices.

Create Your Own Rousseau-Style Herbarium

This workshop explores the traditional process of assembling a herbarium specimen, inspired by Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s collections.
