New York comes to Florimont with the magnetic world of Joan Wasser, aka Joan As Police Woman. A singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, the American artist has developed a free-spirited sound throughout her career, drawing on soul, rock, folk and jazz. For this evening, presented in partnership with Festival Antigel, she revisits her repertoire in a stripped-back acoustic setting, piano and voice, bringing the songs and their emotional power to the forefront. Presented by the Stop Suicide association, this benefit stand-up evening gathers a line-up of leading Swiss comedians — Thomas Wiesel, Mahaut Drama, Dena, Jessé, Mélodie Fontaine and Wary Nichen — with Bruno Peki as master of ceremonies. Through sharp humour and intimate storytelling, the show tackles themes of mental health, resilience and community, blending laughter and reflection. The atmosphere balances warmth and seriousness, inviting audiences to engage with the cause in a humane, empathetic way.

Pianist Viva Sanchez Reinoso presents a solo programme that traces a lineage from J.S. Bach to Keith Jarrett, pairing Baroque polyphony with improvisatory piano language. Her original piece, Eclipse, folds repeating motifs, natural harmonics and subtle acoustic distortion into a hypnotic arc. The programme reflects careful studio work and intimate touch, with sensitive voicing and nuanced dynamics shaping shifting textures. Lighting and staging are understated, allowing the piano’s timbres and the pianist’s gestures to define an immersive, contemplative atmosphere.

Directed by Françoise Courvoisier, this production of Anton Chekhov’s Oncle Vania — translated by Arthur Adamov — assembles a committed ensemble (Vincent Bonillo, Pierre Dubey, Bérangère Mastrangelo, Patricia Mollet-Mercier, Clarisse Morizot, Pierre Omer, Juliana Samarine, Edmond Vuilloud) to explore love, the passage of time and illusions lost. The staging, created with scenographer Gilbert Maire and painter André Kasper, uses Rinaldo Del Boca’s lighting, Pierre Omer’s music and Nicolas Le Roy’s sound to evoke both the comedy and the terrifying humanity of Chekhov.
