In a compact puppet-theatre setting, two performers compress Shakespeare’s Hamlet into a riotous, 60-minute spectacle. Pier Porcheron’s staging and writing drive a mix of object theatre, live sound and slapstick: one performer crafts music and soundscapes, the other animates an anarchic theatre of objects where forks, a kettle and even a drill become characters. With direction by Maïa Commère and object dramaturgy by Francis Monty, the piece blends black comedy, carnivalesque energy and sudden bloodiness in a festive, inventive show.
