Step into a darkly comic world of secrets, suspicion and gallows humour in Martin McDonagh’s Olivier Award-winning *Hangmen*. With performers Mathilde Lyon and Dylan Poletti, the piece pivots on a provocative premise — a young woman’s decision to abandon a nascent career for the tradwife ideal — and unfolds as a personal theatrical essay on power, intimacy and the contradictions of femininity in 2026. Sparse staging and candid narration create a fierce, tender atmosphere.

Directed by Céline Goormaghtigh and written by Anne Berest, LA VISITE probes maternal instinct with sharp humour and urgent intensity. In a compact domestic setting, a young mother at the limits of endurance confronts visitors while her defenses dissolve; a trio of actresses whirl and collide, delivering a caustic torrent of language and revealing movement. The work explores ‘matraissance’—the birth of motherhood—balancing lucidity, rage and tenderness to unsettle familiar myths about maternal bliss.

Directed by Nathalie Cuenet and written by Valérie Poirier, Dire adieu is performed by Compagnie Volodia. The piece stages fragmented conversations between a daughter and her mother, probing a quest for recognition and the fragile possibility of reconciliation. Its form recalls the codes of Greek tragedy, using heightened language and concentrated staging to explore memory, silence and unresolved grief. The ensemble creates a tense, intimate atmosphere that makes emotional rupture palpable.

30 September – 3 October

Choreographed by Thomas Hauert and performed by three dancers from ZOO and three from Platform K, Where Is Everybody? explores a shared, non-hierarchical stage language rooted in improvisation and mutual gaze. The piece invites performers and spectators to dance, look and reposition themselves through moments of unpredictability, creativity and embodied presence. Sparse staging and responsive interactions foreground the living immediacy of movement, producing an atmosphere at once intimate, playful and searching.

29 September – 2 October

Directed, written and performed by Rébecca Chaillon, La Parabole du Seum unfolds as a contemporary tale inspired by Seine‑Saint‑Denis, Martinique and New Orleans. The piece blends fiction, narration and hybrid beliefs, using ritual and performative gestures as tools of survival and resistance for minoritised communities. On stage, Chaillon invents utopian spaces to forge new myths and imagine possible futures, combining intimate storytelling with powerful collective imagery.
