The renowned Argentine multi-instrumentalist and composer, who has won numerous prestigious awards, including two Oscars for the scores of “Brokeback Mountain” and “Babel,” brings this landmark album to the stage for the first time. The concert will also feature his famous work from films and video games, such as “The Last Of Us,” promising a unique sensory and emotional experience for the audience. A a powerful new sacred music drama that wrestles with timeless questions: Why suffering? Why evil? And what remains when even God falls silent? Drawing from the Book of Job, composer Michel Petrossian and director Anaïs de Courson craft a haunting, contemporary work that blends chamber opera, biblical poetry, and echoes of modern conflict. The Athénéennes festival offers 11 evenings of classical music, jazz, rock, and DJ sets. In its 14th edition, the festival explores the theme of Eros and Thanatos, the tension between the drive for life and death. Featuring internationally and nationally acclaimed artists like lutenist Thomas Dunford, the Ensemble Sequenza 9.3 choir, and pianist Jean-Marc Luisada, the performances promise to be eclectic and captivating. Primarily held at the Alhambra, with some concerts at the Temple de la Madeleine.

Joseph Haydn’s oratorio “Die Jahreszeiten” (The Seasons) will be performed by the ensemble Gli Angeli Genève and conducted by Benjamin Levy, as part of the Haydn-Mozart Festival. The soloists include Judith van Wanroij (soprano), Julian Prégardien (tenor), and Stephan MacLeod (bass). Prior to the concert, a presentation by Philippe Albèra will take place at 7:15 PM.

Tous les hommes sont menteurs (“All Men Are Liars”) is a humorous musical comedy that will be performed at the Comédie Lyrique de Genève in June 2025.  Written and directed by Raphaëlle Farman, the show playfully explores romantic relationships and the theme of deception between men and women, with a satirical twist. The performance runs approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and is intended for an adult audience.
