More Than Meets the Eye (“Au-delà des apparences”) presents nearly a century of modern and contemporary African art, featuring works by around 80 sub-Saharan artists in painting, sculpture, and photography. Organized by the Compagnie Bancaire Helvétique (CBH) in celebration of its 50th anniversary, in partnership with the MAH, the exhibition showcases Africa’s creative vitality—where tradition, modern aesthetics, and contemporary issues converge to affirm the continent’s place on the global art stage.

Johannes Nagel’s works explore a dynamic dialogue with material, emphasizing process over perfection. In Silhouette Extended, tunnels, cuts, and patterns reveal the tension between form and movement, creating a language of immediacy where objects unfold and surprise, embracing the potential within rather than a flawless finish.

4 September – 26 October

Camille Dumond presents an immersive exhibition at Ferme de la Chapelle, combining film, sculpture, and installations. Titled “Everything but sliced,” the exhibition features a video installation, ceramic pieces, and circular objects that delve into the connections between territories, social structures, and individual identities. It examines themes such as power, surveillance, and the movement of bodies, while engaging with the venue’s architecture.

Wilde presents Sur la branche by Fabien Mérelle, a fantastical world of hybrid human-animal figures blending irony, whimsy, and emotional depth ; Wilde présente Sur la branche de Fabien Mérelle, un univers fantastique de figures hybrides humaines et animales mêlant ironie, fantaisie et profondeur émotionnelle.

17 September – 1 November

Pablo Reinoso transforms the gallery space with works that merge sculpture, installation, architecture, design, drawing, and painting. His multidisciplinary practice reinterprets materials and objects, questioning their function while shifting them into new aesthetic and conceptual territories, from monumental interventions to more intimate creations.
