Genth’orgue 3 — Organ and Music Festival

Genth’orgue 3 presents a varied festival exploring the organ in all its guises. Programs range from organ paired with Ondes Martenot (with Vincent Thévenaz and Jacques Tchamkerten), to a cine-concert accompaniment for Buster Keaton curated by Nathalie Effenberger, a recital titled “La scène aux femmes!” (Elisabeth Hubmann), and the theatrical spectacle‑concert “Le banquet des rois” for medieval ensemble, organ, choir and narrators. The emphasis is on timbral contrasts and ritual drama.

Choreographed by Thomas Hauert and performed by three dancers from ZOO and three from Platform K, Where Is Everybody? explores a shared, non-hierarchical stage language rooted in improvisation and mutual gaze. Scène Vagabonde’s seventh edition brings a compact program of contemporary theatre and music, presenting three contrasting stage works — “Par le bout du nez”, “Quadrille” and “Prima facie” — alongside a concert by Orchestre Tout Puissant Marcel Duchamp as part of La Bâtie-Festival de Genève. Across intimate stagings the festival favors inventive direction, close ensemble interplay and a balance of wit and intensity, offering encounters that privilege physical presence, tonal variety and rigorous dramaturgy.

After their grandmother’s death, three sisters, separated by life and years, meet in the attic of the family home. The house—large and dusty, with creaking floorboards and faded wallpaper—becomes a stage for recollection. The story follows Luce, Emmanuelle and Emée, with Denise present in the background; objects, yellowed photographs and the smell of old books trigger memories. Performed by Cécile Adèle Basset, Alice Berlamont and Victoria Duquesne, the piece explores memory, loss and the intimate archaeology of domestic life.

An edition dedicated to Guinean and African textile traditions, presented as a platform where diplomacy meets fashion. The programme showcases artisanal excellence through an opening exhibition, a public fashion show and a gala evening combining live performance, a 100% African runway and awards ceremonies. Designers, ateliers and craftswomen highlight techniques, patterns and materials, while choreography and staging emphasise cultural narratives and contemporary creativity, offering a sensory celebration of textile heritage.

29 September – 3 October

Step into a darkly comic world of secrets, suspicion and gallows humour in Martin McDonagh’s Olivier Award-winning *Hangmen*. As England abolishes hanging, Harry Wade—the country’s second-best hangman—finds himself facing an unexpected visitor and a night that takes a very sinister turn. Directed by John Ward.

Opening Night guests are invited to join the cast and crew for a glass of bubbly after the show!

These two evenings present the work of Anna-Marija Adomaitytė, Jerson Diasonama and Maud Blandel, created through collaborative dialogue with non‑professional participants. Across performance, film projection, collective listening and polyphonic conversations, the programme explores how encounters reshape artistic practice and affect those involved. Three works are presented: La Vraie Version (radio piece), I Think You Should Be Here (short film) and Jogo de Dentro (performance).
