Jardin des Nations is a temporary public cultural garden and event space near the Palais des Nations. It combines community gardening, markets, concerts, workshops and an immersive exhibition space to promote sustainable urban planning and local producers. The site fosters community participation, cultural programming, and dialogue about the future development of Geneva.
Join the Jardin team for a friendly community garden party celebrating wellbeing, creativity and shared food. The morning offers wellbeing sessions such as yoga, introductory olfactotherapy and Thai massage, followed by a barbecue-style brunch. The afternoon brings a makers market, second-hand children’s clothing stalls, live music, the Botanic Circus exhibition by Alice Izzo, pop-up food and sweet treats. Workshops are open to everyone; children should be accompanied and some activities have age recommendations.
Alice Izzo presents Botanic Circus, an immersive installation that transforms natural elements into a poetic visual performance. Through site-specific sculptural forms, coloured assemblies of flowers, plants and fruit become staged protagonists, inviting slow wandering, close observation and tactile interaction. The work blends installation, painted surfaces and ephemeral botanical assemblage to probe nature’s textures, theatricality and human perception. A parallel programme of monthly acrylic painting workshops complements the installation.
