Chaussette Puppet Show

Follow Josette the sock as she sets off to find her lost companion Ginette, who disappeared in the last washing machine. Along the way she meets a cast of quirky characters — Marie-Françoise in silk, Ester in polyester and Mylène in wool. From stitch to stitch, her steps lead to the mysterious land of lost socks, full of odd sounds, colors and surprising movements. There she must face Javel the Cruel and her wicked scheme in a playful, tactile puppet adventure.

Explore a gentle story about Bama and the secret of the sanza. Observe the small wooden instrument, its carved shapes and bright tones. Listen as the storyteller brings Bama’s journey to life with hushes, rhythms and warm voice. Children will imagine the scenes, feel the music’s vibrations, and talk about kindness and courage. This family activity blends looking, hearing and sharing moments together.

7 – 28 July

Gather for gentle, imaginative storytime beside the paddling pool, where librarians bring tales to life with lively voices and playful rhythms. Children listen, laugh and join in simple gestures and songs, discovering colourful characters and cozy scenes. The sessions encourage curiosity, language play and shared attention, letting youngsters explore feelings and friendships through sound, movement and picture-rich narration.

7 – 28 July

Gather by the paddling pool to hear lively storytellers bring short tales to life. Listen to playful voices, rhythmic songs and splashy sounds as characters move through sunny scenes. Children will join simple refrains, act out parts, and follow bright images that spark imagination. Readings encourage curiosity, new words and pretend play, with chances to move, laugh and imagine whole stories together under the open sky.

Tuesday 14 July, 15:00

Join a lively family visit to explore a playful corner of the museum’s collections. Meet Vany on her seventh birthday and listen to her wishes come alive through a short story and music from the collection. Look closely at colorful objects in the temporary exhibition, hear musical sounds, and ask questions. Activities spark curiosity, imagination, and listening skills as children discover stories hidden in objects and sounds.
