Céline Zufferey, author of the novel Maxence, brings her literary perspective on love and remembrance, exploring how narrative work confronts fragile memory and the desire to suspend time.
She discusses Maxence’s project of recording the everyday—lists, fragments and intimate details—to ward off disappearance. The session examines themes of archival desire, the ethics of witnessing a loved one, and how fragmentary narrative shapes an emotional portrait, offering reflections on why literature investigates memory and attachment.
