Maison Internationale des Associations (MIA) is a multi-purpose association house in Geneva hosting over 80 local and international NGOs. It provides meeting and conference rooms, event and exhibition spaces, and administrative support. The MIA fosters associative projects, civic engagement and international exchange, serving as a focal point for civil society activity.
This exchange brings together young activists from over fifteen countries to examine the role of youth in defending human rights. Participants will discuss advocacy strategies, transnational solidarity, and grassroots mobilization, and explore practical skills for international campaigning. The session investigates how young people shape public discourse, influence policy, and build coalitions across borders, offering tools to strengthen collective action and strategic advocacy in human-rights movements.

Join us for the 8th associations kick-off to explore mutualisation and the power of collective action. This welcoming gathering invites association members, curious neighbours and newcomers to exchange experiences, take part in a guided tour, participate in participatory workshops, and attend a panel discussion before an informal networking moment. Together we will discuss challenges, co-create practical approaches and strengthen ties across our local associative community. Expect open conversations, shared learning and new connections to inspire future collaboration.
