Created by Davide Brancato and Noémie Griess, Almo BB imagines a theatre of excess where cabaret, performance, drag, music and intimate confession fuse into a dramatic variety show inspired by Pedro Almodóvar. Through a shifting gallery of characters — a nun, a cross-dressing singer, a widow — the piece probes mutable identities, devouring passions, solitude, family inheritances and gender injunctions. Drag operates as metamorphosis and revelation, letting bodies, voices and emotions exist in full complexity.

JazzContreBand celebrates its 30th anniversary with a new creation led by trumpeter Erik Truffaz. Franco‑Swiss musicians join forces with the Orchestre des Alpes et du Léman in Side by Side, a programme that blends classical writing, jazz phrasing and open-ended improvisation. The project explores textural contrasts, orchestral colours and solo interplay, shifting from intimate chamber passages to wide, cinematic swells. Revealed in 2009 by the hit « Like a Hobo », Charlie Winston, the most francophile of British singers, presents a unique solo acoustic evening. After seventeen years with his band he strips his songs back, offering intimate, raw and tender interpretations of his best-known tracks alongside rare or never-before-played pieces and songs from his sixth album Love Ain’t Easy. The performance balances emotion and surprise, with spontaneous interactions and a contagious energy that brings the artist close to his audience.

Led by pianist and singer Dennis Watson, the Dr. Watson Band revisits blues and rock through soulful vocals and piano-driven arrangements. The quartet — Dennis Watson (piano, vocals), Alain Niederhauser (guitar, vocals), Luc Schuwey (bass) and Pascal Jean (drums) — blends originals from the album “Welcome to the World” with covers by Freddie King, Muddy Waters, the Allman Brothers and Jimi Hendrix. Sharing the bill, The Lawdy Mamas — four Geneva-based women — channel raw Southern blues and 1970s rock, delivering high-energy, road-worn guitar-driven performances.

Sami Lea Samira Bernath – Sous les montagnes

Centred on Sami Bernath’s embodied memories, this performance mixes Swiss popular songs, rhythmic gestures and the traditional Löffelä spoon percussion to transform everyday motions into sound. Through repetition, deformation and rhythmic saturation, familiar motifs become permeable, revealing buried and repressed memories beneath the Swiss mountains. The staging is intimate and ritualistic, alternating fragile vocal fragments and percussive textures to probe memory and collective inheritance.

Directed by Gabriel Sparti, Menace Chorale follows an amateur town choir drawn into a tightening ideological mechanism under a charismatic new conductor. The piece uses vocal textures and staged rehearsals to contrast luminous harmonies with the unsettling meanings behind their repertoire, sketching a miniature society where desire, ambition and collective pressure calcify into authoritarian dynamics. Through subtle disruptions, layered readings and meticulous sound and lighting textures, the production feels at once funny, eerie and incisively political.

Two short plays by Anton Chekhov staged by Tibor Ockenfels and Flavie Tapparel, presented as compact dramatic machines where romantic comedy masks escalating confrontations between desire, affection and material interest. Performances rely on precise physical timing, terse exchanges and a lean, playful design to reveal the simmering violence behind courtship rituals. The three actors — Estelle Bridet, Matteo Prandi and Raphaël Vachoux — inhabit heightened character types that shift between farce and darker comic truth, creating a sharply observed, kinetic evening.
