12.5 m² – Design x Vegetation for the Common Good

Seven emerging designers transform parking bays into site-specific installations that imagine alternative uses for reclaimed urban space. Combining design, planting and crafted structures, the works explore collective wellbeing, ecological practice and public appropriation of infrastructure. Installations range from modular seating and planted interventions to sculptural landscapes that reframe parking as communal terrain. The project foregrounds collaboration between landscape and design, inviting reflection on everyday spatial commons and small-scale ecological strategies.

Swiss artist Étienne Krahenbühl presents a contemplative exhibition of sculptural and mixed-media works that explore forms in motion and the generative forces of life. From earth and world emerge cracks, shifts and breaths that shape tensions and connections, underscoring our relationship with matter, nature and the human. The works mark passages between worlds and, through resonance, invite emotional and intellectual reflection on respect, singularity and coexistence.

PIPAS 2026 – Trouble-accueil is a playful, slightly subversive entry in the PIPAS biennale curated by Paul Oberson. It unfolds as a series of unexpected encounters and atmospheric interventions that tilt everyday hospitality into moments of disorientation and delight. The piece invites visitors to reconsider welcome, movement and the social choreography of shared spaces through visual, auditory and performative gestures. Artist Jessica Decorvet investigates the landscape as an unstable concept where seeing implicates participation and representation transforms the world. The exhibition brings together drawings, textiles, ceramics and living plants to stage tensions between intense, almost vital wonder and cultural framing that distances the living.
Playing with scale from miniature objects to a monumental curtain, Decorvet unsettles assumptions: textiles become stained glass while ceramics verge on reliquary. The works evoke and question how perception and materiality shape our relation to place.

Quartier Libre SIG

Genevan artist Gérald Grosjean presents a focused series of paintings and handcrafted maquettes that examine industrial and railway landscapes. The show gathers twenty-seven canvases and three models made from reclaimed materials, emphasising a pointillist approach to structures such as stations, bridges, dams, factories and viaducts. Through meticulous dots and assembled found objects, Grosjean explores the aesthetic presence and collective memory of infrastructure, inviting reflection on material reuse and the visual poetry of engineered landscapes.

Reggie Khumalo: Open Art Studio

Artist Reggie Khumalo transforms the gallery into an open studio, producing new works on-site that blend painting, collage and mixed-media installation. His practice combines figurative painting with found materials and layered surfaces to explore memory, identity and social histories. Visitors are invited into the artist’s process as he experiments with scale, texture and colour, developing works that will be unveiled at upcoming fairs. The presentation emphasises materiality, narrative fragments and the performative aspects of making.

The Tender Buttons exhibition offers a multidisciplinary exploration centered on buttons, delving into their identity and historical significance. Featuring over three hundred ceramic and glass buttons, the exhibition interacts with the museum’s works to highlight their role in both formal experimentation and socio-cultural narratives. The exhibition’s architecture evokes the commercial arcades of the 19th century, a pivotal era for button industrialization. Curated by Claire FitzGerald, the exhibition is supported by the Swiss Fashion Museum and showcases never-before-seen pieces from several prestigious collections.
