
Located within the EMA music school in the Plainpalais district, Le Chaudron is one of the school’s concert and recording venues. Throughout the year, it hosts a diverse array of concerts featuring contemporary artists spanning genres from jazz to metal. These performances are occasionally preceded by masterclasses conducted by the guest musicians, providing a unique opportunity for both students and the public to engage with accomplished professionals in an intimate setting.
La Jazz Night Latina is an open, high-energy evening where the stage belongs to everyone. Led by percussionist Edwin Sanz, the night begins with a live set from the musician and his hand-picked ensemble, before opening into a jam session where players of all levels are invited to join in and explore Latin repertoires together.
The Flying Feet Collective revives the golden swing era with an energetic sextet that blends tradition and social-dance momentum. Arranged by Micaël Vuataz, the band features Chloé Marsigny (clarinet), Fabrizio Fresu (trumpet), Andrew Audiger (piano), Nicolas Bircher (bass) and Samuel Boutros (drums), with Vuataz on saxophone. Their music balances elegant phrasing and lively rhythms crafted for lindy hop, conjuring warm brass, driving grooves and an atmosphere of communal dance and nostalgia.
