Directed by François Gremaud, MON FRÈRE centres the embodied storytelling of Christian Gremaud, who performs his life through French Sign Language while his brother François interprets at the edge of the stage. The piece foregrounds the physical vibration and expressivity of sign, weaving Christian’s intimate memories with the collective history, culture and struggles of deaf people. The staging privileges tactile rhythm, stark gestures and quiet intensity, creating a resonant, intimate atmosphere that lets language and body trace lines between personal grief, affection and communal resilience.
Language: French, sign language (LSF), surtitled in French.
