The works emphasise translucency, subtle textures and the interplay of shadow and glow, offering a contemplative experience that interrogates fragility, regeneration and the intimate connections between craft and natural phenomena.

25 September – 24 January

Ferdinand Hodler: Profession of Faith examines for the first time the spiritual dimension in the work of Ferdinand Hodler (1853–1918). Through some twenty-five paintings, the exhibition traces his youthful biblical readings, his rare biblical scenes, and his relation to the Reformation and the city of Geneva. It also considers how notions of creation and the order of nature informed his symbolist language and his meditative landscapes, revealing the interplay between religious themes and formal concerns in his painting.

17 September – 13 December

Curators Ghalas Charara and Rita Elhajj present the second part of a two‑part exhibition that shapes a liminal space between listening and gesture. Through acts of defunctionalization, duplication, displacement, fragmentation and sabotage, the participating artists generate potentials for action and reclaim rhythmic breaths, steps and voices. Works from the host collection sit alongside invited pieces to evoke survivance, mourning and resistance, where memory becomes an embrace enacted by bodies searching for—sometimes finding—ancestral gestures through repetition, dance and semantic shifts.

Opening: Thursday 17 September, 18:00

18 September – 31 October

German artist Olaf Holzapfel presents a body of work that quietly investigates landscape, architecture and vernacular traditions. Working across sculpture, drawing, painting and installation, he foregrounds materiality and craftsmanship, transforming humble materials into structures that mediate between nature and the built environment. The works trace textures of memory and labour, proposing subtle dialogues between form and site. The exhibition emphasises process and making, inviting sustained attention to material relationships and artisanal techniques.

2 September – 31 October

Franck Bohbot presents a selection of photographs of heritage libraries that open a space for meditation and reverie around the idea of the library.
Alongside these images, contemporary installations and mirrored arrangements that juxtapose photographs of personal libraries create reflective encounters, while a kaleidoscope of texts centers the theme. The exhibition examines how architecture, collection and personal memory shape our relation to knowledge, evoking nostalgia, curiosity and questions about the library as a social and imagined space.

Opening: 2 September, 18:30

18 September – 15 November

Conceived by artist Pauline Coquart, Short Ass Attention Span #3 mixes literary experiment and live performance, assembling texts that range from apocalyptic sketches to risqué autofiction and political essays on sexuality. Editors and collaborators Ethan Assouline and Gaia Vincensini shaped the selection and the edition’s visual identity, while attentive editorial direction and inventive layout treat writing as performative material. The project foregrounds plural contemporary voices, shifting between intimate confession, sharp aphorism and sprawling narrative to create a charged, porous atmosphere.

Our eyes are naturally drawn to light and what shines. Yet what could be more fascinating than shadow? Shadows have enabled many fundamental discoveries: the shape of the Earth, the calculation of its circumference, the identification of electrons, and the understanding of planetary motion. They accompany us and enrich our thinking. Come and explore them to learn more about their role in science.
