Directed by Fanny Brunet and Carole Schafroth, this theatrical adaptation of Daniel de Roulet’s novel follows ten young women who emigrate to Patagonia to found an egalitarian anarchist community. Choreographed by María del Mar Suárez (La Chachi), this hybrid flamenco pieces tradition and punk sensibility into a raw, personal language. On stage two musicians and a singer shape a live soundscape that frames La Chachi’s emergence: a dim light reveals her silhouette as she advances and begins an ascension. Her motions coil and break in looping cycles as the music intensifies. Visceral and hypnotic, the performance immerses spectators in concentrated rhythms and fierce corporeal poetry.

29 September – 18 October

Directed by Céline Goormaghtigh and written by Anne Berest, LA VISITE probes maternal instinct with sharp humour and urgent intensity. In a compact domestic setting, a young mother at the limits of endurance confronts visitors while her defenses dissolve; a trio of actresses whirl and collide, delivering a caustic torrent of language and revealing movement. The work explores ‘matraissance’—the birth of motherhood—balancing lucidity, rage and tenderness to unsettle familiar myths about maternal bliss.

15 September – 11 October

A darkly comic solo play about obsession and domestic chaos. When Michel finds a rare record he has long sought, he prepares a perfect hour to listen — but family, neighbours and a drip that will wreck the disc steadily intrude. The piece skewers selfishness with sharp humour and precise staging, combining intimate realism and heightened farce to probe human smallness and the desperate desire for solitude.

Three improvisers and composers — Maël Godinat (piano), William Jacquemet (trombone) and Pierre‑François Massy (double bass) — present a program of original material and carefully chosen covers. Arrangements emphasize close harmonies, intimate interplay and attentive listening, letting sparse textures open into rich, resonant chords. The trio’s sound balances lyrical phrasing with rhythmic subtlety; lighting and silence shape moments of suspended time, inviting a contemplative, warm atmosphere that reimagines harmonic conversation in the moment.

With cellist Lisa Cailleton and Jérôme Gruffel (viola), Jean‑Baptiste Navarro (violin) and Nathalie Saudan (violin), the Contrepoint Quartet traces a repertoire from Purcell to Philip Glass and interweaves Scandinavian folk motifs. The programme examines the persistent force of repeating musical cells, contrasting baroque clarity with minimalist pulse and folk lyricism. Subtle dynamics and crystalline ensemble tuning reveal textures that shift from introspective to propulsive, inviting close listening and emotional clarity. It is presented within the Les Quatre Saisons de La Musicale season.
