JazzContreBand celebrates its 30th anniversary with a new creation led by trumpeter Erik Truffaz. Franco‑Swiss musicians join forces with the Orchestre des Alpes et du Léman in Side by Side, a programme that blends classical writing, jazz phrasing and open-ended improvisation. The project explores textural contrasts, orchestral colours and solo interplay, shifting from intimate chamber passages to wide, cinematic swells. Emergentia 2027 brings together the next generation of choreographers from Geneva and beyond in a two‑week festival of new performance and research. Conceived and produced by three Geneva organizations, the program juxtaposes site-specific creations, international residencies, open studios revealing works-in-progress, and embodied workshops and conversations. Performances feature artists such as Isam Abad Montalvo, Sami Lea Samira Bernath, Oscar M. Damianaki, Efthimios Moschopoulos and Soraya Leila Emery, alongside collaborative projects and emerging voices.

Directed by Eléonore Bonah and staged by scenographer Maria Clara Castioni, CHRÜSIMÜSI transforms Adelheid Duvanel’s terse, poetic fragments into a multilingual theatrical tapestry. Performers Eléonore Bonah and Maria Clara Castioni inhabit hypersensitive, marginal characters whose everyday gestures oscillate between absurdity and tenderness. Sparse staging and a careful interplay of voice and silence highlight Duvanel’s Kafkaesque intimacy, while language shifts (French, German, Italian) create a fragile, dreamlike atmosphere that balances humour and quiet despair, celebrating stubborn acts of resistance.
Choreography and performance by Victoria Dauberville, this dance piece follows a ballerina who literally escapes her music box to discover a new world and, ultimately, herself. Like a doll shaped by strict rules, she abandons prescribed steps and meets other dancers and styles, inventing her own movement. The staging plays with expectation and humour, questioning what it means to dance with others and alone, and opening space for surprise and tenderness.
Set between domestication and escape, La zone nono follows a troupe of ragged yet endearing animals seeking community and freedom. Two table puppeteers and two musicians bring to life quirky creatures through live music and songs, blending humour and poetry. The staging balances intimacy and playful invention, exploring solidarity, resilience and the pull of the wild. The show is performed in French and mixes witty storytelling with musicality and inventive puppetry.
