Directed by Stéphanie Aflalo and written and performed by Stéphanie Aflalo and Antoine Thiollier, this playful lecture-performance reimagines key masterpieces of classical painting. The duo uses deliberate awkwardness, image détournement and improvisational digressions to stage a tenderly iconoclastic counter-history of art. Through comic confidences and poetic flashes they probe the body in and of the work, spectatorship and artistic risk, inviting the audience into intimate complicity. The show is accessible and a simplified-language description is available.
