Neal Maxwell, a member of the Clique du Caustic resident troupe, presents his first hour long solo in development. Under a misleading pyjama like appearance hides a high energy stand up performer whose jokes swing between sharply observed truths and delightfully absurd surprises. The set combines intimate, relatable observations with sudden madcap twists, delivering a strange and hilarious journey through his peculiar worldview.

Choreographed by Saša Asentić, Le Sacre du printemps is a reimagined Stravinsky landmark performed by the inclusive company Per.Art. Drawing on historical versions by the Ballets Russes, Maurice Béjart and Pina Bausch and enriched with the voices of disabled poets from Serbia, Iran, Ukraine and the United States, the seven dancers invert the original narrative. The staging transforms ritual into a manifesto of survival, blending physical rigor, collective solidarity and poetic testimony to renew the score as a cry for life.
Samar Haddad King’s Shabaab blends dance, theatre and puppetry to trace the intimate bond between two Palestinian friends, Mohamed and Mahmoud. Through movement, dialogue and a haunting puppet by Sipho Ngxola, the piece reconstructs memories, imagined futures and the silences carved by colonial violence. The choreography explores youth, tenderness and forms of resistance, creating a fragile space where friendship becomes a means of survival and poetic witness.

La Bâtie Festival celebrates its 50th edition from 25 August to 13 September 2026! Over three weeks, theatre, dance, concerts, performances, circus and parties will take over venues across Geneva and the region. This anniversary edition also introduces Le Béaba, a new open-air hub at the Musée Ariana, bringing together free events, performances and concerts in a lively, convivial setting.

Presented as part of the fiftieth edition of Festival de la Bâtie, this late-stage production by Robert Wilson draws its creative power from the polymorphic poetry of Fernando Pessoa. Like a magic mirror, Pessoa – Since I’ve Been Me illuminates the nuances of Wilson’s singular aesthetic: meticulous stagecraft, visionary fantasy and boundless imagination. Seven virtuosic performers, including Maria de Meideros, embody Pessoa and his heteronyms in a poetic, visually arresting mise en scène.
An intimate aerial encounter, Une rencontre suspendue brings together hair suspension, acrobatic play, guitar harmonies and a textured singing voice. Conceived by the collective Association VOILÀ VOILÀ, this short creation features aerial acrobat Lili Parson Piguet and musician Jeanne Pâris. The piece mixes fragile physicality and musical intimacy to trace a delicate complicity between movement and sound, where everyday materials become instruments of tension and tenderness. Presented as a compact, sensory performance within the festival context.
Created and performed by Diederik Peeters, Confabulations blurs the boundary between reality and illusion. Playing a psychiatrist, Peeters uses archival material, historical narratives and personal testimonies to probe memory, perception and confabulation. The staging mixes shifting visual worlds, forensic references and moments of hallucination to produce an unsettling, lyrical investigation of psychiatry, neurology and neurodivergent experience. Second instalment of a trilogy following Apparitions (2018), the piece invites a vertiginous reflection on truth and remembrance.
