Motel Cactus

Directed by the company La Meute, Motel Cactus is an explosive Latin cabaret that stitches acrobatics, live music and physical theatre into a delirious, poetic spectacle. Six acrobats and three musicians from Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Germany and France fuse virtuosic skill with Caribbean rhythms and absurdist humour. The staging celebrates human resilience—like a cactus, life blooms in inhospitable places—mixing dance, daring feats and vibrant ensemble work to create an experience both tender and fierce.

Two short plays by Anton Chekhov staged by Tibor Ockenfels and Flavie Tapparel, presented as compact dramatic machines where romantic comedy masks escalating confrontations between desire, affection and material interest. Performances rely on precise physical timing, terse exchanges and a lean, playful design to reveal the simmering violence behind courtship rituals.
