Performed by Vincent Kucholl as the cult figure Reto Zenhäusern and directed by Vincent Veillon, this multimedia lecture-show dissects human motives with chilly wit. Presenting himself alternately as economist, sociologist and anthropologist, the character delivers a rigorously deadpan analysis of work, consumerism and the aesthetics of poverty. The staging combines spoken monologue, visual media and precise timing to turn black humour into a probing critique of neoliberalism and collective myths.
