Secrets and Mountains

Carlo D’Anselmi presents paintings that emerge from imagination, assembling figures, animals and landscapes into dreamlike compositions defined by colour, textured surfaces and a quietly emotive atmosphere. The exhibition considers painting as a silent language that unfolds through attention, light and time, while mountains assert themselves through scale and presence. Developed during the artist’s first stay in Switzerland overlooking the French Alps, the works respond to shifting rhythms and seasonal transformations in the landscape.

Julian Charrière presents a major project that traces geological, climatic and planetary time through sculpture, installation, film and photography. Using stone, ice, coal, lava, metals and fossil matter as both material and subject, the works examine entangled histories of nature, extraction, industry and myth. Charrière compresses deep timescales into sculptural processes — coring glacial boulders repaired with precious metals, mechanically transforming ancient rocks, and reframing extractive landscapes as sites of destruction and wonder.

9 June – 8 July

Le Palais des Tressaillements brings together a group of contemporary artists who examine the legacy and circulation of images. Through photography, installation, mixed media and archival practices, the exhibition investigates how visual cultures shape identities, memory and collective narratives. Works by Yvan Alvarez, Tim Bruggeman, Aline d’Auria, Lina Geoushy, Mårten Lange, Magdalena Wysocka and others propose strategies of appropriation, re-signification and poetic reassembly to resist dominant representations and to imagine alternative filiations.

Opening: Tuesday 9 June, 18:00 and guided tour with the artists (in French and English)

29 April – 31 December

This exhibition brings together archival photographs, historical medical objects and contemporary works to examine how illness is represented and embodied. Through photography, installation and mixed-media pieces, artists probe how bodily experience resists language and is translated into image, narrative and presence. The presentation includes a new work by Sabrina Röthlisberger Belkacem and is curated by Sara Petrucci with scenography by OnLab, creating a dialogue between archives and recent artistic responses.

29 April – 28 June

Presented from the private collection of Giuseppe Garrera and curated by Andrea Bellini and Giuseppe Garrera, this exhibition assembles an array of diminutive found objects — trinkets, charms, gadgets, toys, lucky charms and fragments of wood, cloth and glass — rescued from mundane life by artists’ gestures. Hovering between toy, everyday artefact and artwork, the presentation explores the thaumaturgic qualities of objects and childhood as a site of refuge and wonder.

Opening: Tuesday 28 April, 16:00 – 21:00

Guided tours (in English)
Sunday 17 May, 16:00
Thursday 21 May, 18:30 – 19:30 (FR or EN)

Curator Danniel Tostes brings together works by several generations of artists to examine community as a space of connection, resistance and collective creation. The exhibition assembles photography, installation, sculpture and mixed-media projects that forge dialogues between historical and contemporary practices. 16 March – 17 October

Dany Gignoux (photographer) and poet Georges Haldas present a compelling dialogue between documentary photography and lyrical prose. The exhibition brings together photographs and written fragments that register everyday life in Geneva’s cafés, combining on-the-spot reportage with memory-infused “prose inspirée.” Through intimate black-and-white images and spare, evocative texts the works transfigure mundane scenes into poetic testimony, revealing social undercurrents and human tenderness. Archival materials frame this historic encounter between two generations of cultural chroniclers.
