Based on the Jekyll myth, this theatrical adaptation examines metamorphosis as both physical and social, probing identity, gender and the boundary between good and male/female. Stark black-and-white staging and chiaroscuro lighting evoke twilight and old horror films, while a persistent, slicing fog thickens the atmosphere. The venerable Dr Jekyll’s unsettling experiments unfold in a late-19th-century London laboratory, and his circle is drawn into mounting anguish as transformations accelerate.

Adapted by Peter Hall from George Orwell’s novel, Animal Farm is staged by Year 11 theatre students. The production channels the fable’s political bite through stripped-back staging and physical ensemble work, exploring leadership, propaganda and the corrupting nature of power. The ensemble transforms animals into archetypes, using movement, chorus and concentrated tableaux to build tense, often unsettling atmospheres. The staging balances dark satire with moments of fragile humanity, inviting reflection on authority and collective responsibility.

The program features performances by Léna Hiriartborde, Yann Leguay, Julian Sartorius, Pali Meursault and others, blending field recordings, amplified objects, acoustic traditions and electronic textures. Site-specific installations and wooden instruments crafted by a participating maker lend a handcrafted intimacy, while sparse lighting and spatialised sound create close, contemplative atmospheres that favour shared, intense musical moments.

Performed and choreographed by Eugénie Rebetez, COMEBACK is a solo exploration of artistic, female and maternal identity. On stage she shifts through extravagant costumes and a blend of choreography, song and gesture, crafting scenic images that are both poetic and comic. The work moves between introspection and humour, intertwining contemporary dance and stand-up rhythms to question the artist’s status. Co-produced by Tanzhaus Zürich, Casino Théâtre de Rolle, Théâtre Boulimie and LE POCHE, it offers an intimate, unsettling and hilarious journey.

Feu au lac ! stages a trio of political puppet pieces that resurrect little-known episodes of Romandy’s social history. Combining rod puppets, archival fragments and live music, the performance balances sharp satire and warm humanity. Conceived from a short piece shown during Cabaret en chantier 2024, the triptych revitalizes political marionette theatre while offering a rhythmic, musical staging that sparks reflection and collective energy. The creative approach foregrounds material histories and the power of popular resistance.
