Led by founder Sogol Mirzaei, Ensemble Chakâm, winner of the Prix des Musiques d’Ici 2023, weaves Iranian radif, Arabic repertoire and baroque into a singular musical language. The trio of musicians trade bowed and plucked textures as strings dialogue, alternating between exalted surges and hushed breaths. Through original compositions and collaborative arrangements they give voice to intertwined stories of departure, loss, nostalgia, uprooting and renewal. The result is an intimate, luminous soundscape that balances scholarly tradition with inventive timbre.

Performed by the ensemble …Y su Orquesta Quartette, this tango recital traces the intimate dialogue between Jorge Luis Borges’s texts and Latin American composers. The programme draws on the El tango album and works by Astor Piazzolla, Aníbal Troilo, Carlos Guastavino and Eladia Blázquez, alternating nostalgic milongas and stormier tangos. Sparse arrangements and warm bandoneón tones unfold a cinematic, nocturnal atmosphere, where lyricism and longing meet. Presented by Los conjurados as part of the BORGES 2026 project.

Written by Isabelle Mergault, this comedy unfolds as a darkly comic study of infidelity, mistaken intentions and unexpected solidarity. Gigi is hired by her lover to kill his wife, but when she meets the vulnerable Barbara a fragile friendship forms that upends the plan. The play balances sharp dialogue and tender moments, alternating farce and intimacy, while the quartet cast navigates moral ambiguity with warmth and sly humour.

Marking its 20th anniversary, Fête de la Danse transforms the city into a stage, presenting almost forty professional shows, community showcases and dozens of introductory classes. The program moves between poetic promenade pieces and exuberant street choreographies, including a river parade following the Rhône and waterfront performances that marry movement and public space. Community projects — like the flash‑mob Lovons‑nous joyeusement! in partnership with Cité Seniors — foreground participation, conviviality and accessibility, celebrating dance in its many forms.
