Led by maître à danser Alain Christen, this spring ball revives Playford-era country dances through shared movement and live music. Ensemble Le banquet d’Apollon accompanies the participants: François Mützenberg on recorders, chalumeau and galoubet; Marie-Claire Bettens on recorders and viol; Lisette Aubert on viol. The programme draws from John Playford’s 1651 English Dancing Master, offering a varied, spirited repertoire where popular tunes meet learned composition, inviting dancers of all levels into lively, convivial patterns.

The gentle story sparks curiosity about dreams, courage and friendship, using movement, sounds and bright imagery to stir imagination and invite wonder.

Hop into a seasonal adventure filled with egg hunts across parks and gardens, playful treasure trails and hands-on creative workshops. Kids can mold chocolates in a chocolate-making workshop, follow clues in a family-friendly escape game, and parade with glowing lanterns as music and laughter fill the streets. Discover splashes of street art, taste local treats and listen to cheerful sounds while hunting for hidden chocolate treasures. Colors, scents and movement spark curiosity and teamwork.
