ADN Baroque

Booking Required

Théophile Alexandre blends voice and movement in a stripped-back, vibrant baroque creation that fuses early music with contemporary dance. As singer and dancer he delivers a powerful, singular performance, shaped by Jean-Claude Gallotta’s choreography and Guillaume Vincent’s piano. Twenty-one finely honed pieces unfold like the 21 grams of the soul, where music becomes flesh and gesture turns into melody. Between well-known masterpieces and forgotten treasures, the production offers an intimate, organic journey through human emotions, delicate and intense.

Inspired by the accounts of women mountaineers, this performance intertwines mountaineering, feminism, and ecology. Two women, united against the elements, commemorate a vanished glacier, confronting fear and hope. The mountain emerges as a symbol of both endangered nature and the solidarity of humanity in need of rebuilding.

Created by the company Alliance Créative, COMME UN LUNDI is a fully improvised theatre piece that probes the textures of modern work life. The five performers — Nina Cachelin, Deborah Chirenti, Malik Kaufmann, Adrien Laplana and Eric Lecoultre — conjure shifting office micro-worlds, from awkward ambition to quiet complicity. Through rapid character shifts, minimalist staging and elastic rhythm, the troupe maps rivalries, unspoken desires and the absurdity of ‘bullshit jobs’, producing moments both comic and quietly unsettling.

Created and performed by the Patin libre troupe, Murmuration stages 15 skaters as a single, fluid organism inspired by the collective dynamics of bird flocks. At breakneck speed the ensemble executes precise, chain-reaction choreographies that merge virtuosity and risk. The piece explores harmony and antagonism within groups, alternating moments of breathtaking synchronization with fragile, intimate passages. Bold staging and relentless momentum offer a sensory, kinetic experience that blurs dance and spectacle.

Friday 6 February, 19:30

Renowned pianist Sir András Schiff will perform as part of the Les Grands Interprètes series, offering a selection of pieces by Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, and Schubert. The exact program will be revealed on the evening of the concert.

Friday 6 February, 21:00

An intimate programme by five musicians that traces Portuguese song across centuries, from fervent 20th‑century folk to the ornate lines of Renaissance court singers. Led by vocalist Sofia Pedro and instrumentalists Tiago Simas Freire (flutes, cornet, bagpipes), Filipa Meneses (viola, rabel), Bor Zuljan (lute, guitar) and Rui Silva (adufe, pandeiro, bells), the performance blends rhythmic drive, modal melodies and delicate ornamentation. Presented in collaboration with the Ateliers d’ethnomusicologie and AMR, supported by the City of Geneva and Fonds culturel Sud.

5 – 7 February

Choreographed by Trajal Harrell and performed by the Zürich Dance Ensemble, Caen Amour blurs the line between dance and runway, mixing representation with sharp cultural commentary. The piece draws on the late-19th-century hoochie-coochie and orientalist spectacle, reworking those flamboyant gestures into a transcultural odyssey. Costumes, music and lighting interplay to sculpt a theatrical, sensual atmosphere where movement, pageantry and critique collide, inviting reflection on performance, identity and spectacle.
