Amor y Pasión, performed by cellist Estelle Revaz and harpist Laudine Dard, draws on Hispanic musical traditions to explore longing and rhythm. The cello, often likened to the human voice, blends with the harp’s luminous textures to reveal deep emotions. The programme juxtaposes famous tangos — Piazzolla’s Histoire du Tango and Gardel’s Por una Cabeza — with works by Cassadó, Granados and Ginastera, highlighting lyrical intensity, marked rhythmic drive and the vivid colours of South American musical cultures.
In early January 2022, two construction vehicles belonging to a Swiss multinational were set on fire at a gravel pit in the Geneva countryside. Over a year later, a young man — referred to as Jérémy — was arrested and suspected of involvement in the arson. Held in pre-trial detention, he was released after more than three months, following strong public support and mobilization.
