Supported by the City of Geneva, this production invites a collective reflection on the roots of modern human issues.

Born in Lisbon and mentored by legendary figures, she won the Grande Noite do Fado at just 13 years old. With three critically acclaimed albums, she has become a prominent ambassador of modern fado, while still honoring its traditional roots. Having received numerous accolades and international recognition, she also shares her expertise as a coach on The Voice Portugal. Her latest album, “Liberdade,” is a blend of traditional fados and contemporary compositions.

Celebrated for her spiritual journeys and gift of glossolalia, Élise navigates parallel worlds and alien languages. Fascinated by her talents, Flournoy attends her sessions and publishes an essay on her experiences, unaware of his crucial role in her visions. The play delves into their complex platonic relationship, defying the constraints of a rigid society, highlighting Élise’s quest for freedom and recognition through her mediumship.
